Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
  • 1 pound pork and veal or chicken and herb sausages
  • ½ cup fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ small onion (chopped)
  • Sesame seeds, to sprinkle
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (just thawed)
  • Tomato sauce, to serve
Preparation
Take a bowl and add the milk along with breadcrumbs to it. Let the breadcrumbs soak the milk completely. After removing the casings from the sausages, place them in a blender along with 1 egg, breadcrumbs, and onion. Blend until well combined; refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Place one sheet of pastry on a lightly-floured flat surface, and cut it into two, horizontally. Add a spoonful of the sausage mixture to the center of each piece of pastry, and then fold over the long side. Beat the other egg and brush the upper side of the roll with it. Fold the other side over to enclose the filling and make it into a sausage shape. Repeat the same procedure with the remaining pastry; make 4 rolls.
Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with a baking paper; make sure that the seam side is down. Cover the rolls and refrigerate for about ½ hour, until firm. Now preheat the oven to 350 ºF. Also line a big baking sheet with a nonstick baking paper. Cut the refrigerated rolls into 7, diagonally.
Brush the remaining egg, if any, over the rolls and place them on the baking sheet. Make 2 small slits on top of the rolls so that they do not split. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and bake for about 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with tomato sauce.

Meatballs

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean steak (minced)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packet chicken noodle soup powder
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 packet french onion soup powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup boiling water
Preparation
Take a medium-sized bowl, and mix the flour, eggs, meat, and milk in it; set aside. Take another bowl and add both the soup powders along with the water to it. Combine well to avoid formation of lumps. Mix the soup mixture with the meat mixture, and place spoonfuls of it either in a barbecue plate or a frypan. Fry the balls until brown, and serve them with a dip.

Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients
  • 75 grams white marshmallows (chopped)
  • 2x50 gram bars crunchy chocolate (crushed)
  • 1 liter each of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice-cream
  • 2x30 gram bars milk chocolate (crushed)
  • 2x45 gram packets milk and honey combined chocolates (crushed)
Preparation
Place the milk chocolate and ice cream in a large bowl, and set aside to soften. Once done, beat the mixture with a wooden spoon until well combined. Spoon this mixture onto a 23 cm round pan; smooth with a spatula. Cover it with a foil and refrigerate until firm.
Add the vanilla ice cream and honey milk chocolate to another bowl, and set aside until softened.  Remove the pan from the freezer, sprinkle the crunchy chocolate over it, spoon the vanilla ice cream mixture over the top, and smooth it.
Again freeze the mixture until firm. Repeat the same procedure with the strawberry ice cream and marshmallows. Serve after the cake is completely set.
