When was the last time you planned a garden party? Maybe you don't even remember! If that is the case, it is time for you to take out your barbeque from the storage room and get ready to throw a party!
Read the following ideas and rock your own party. Garden parties are fun, and are worth the decoration, the food preparation, and all the trouble that we have to go through, like mowing the lawn, weeding, sweeping the garden area, etc. But when your party turns out to be the best so far, there is nothing else that you want.

Party Ideas for Kids
Kids love garden parties. So here are some ideas for kids. You can have a birthday party, a Halloween party, or a sleepover, in your garden. How? Well, for starters, start cleaning your garden area a day prior to the party. Decorate it with lights, colorful paper ribbons, balloons, or any other decoration material.
Have a delicious menu that the children will love, followed by cakes, pastries, puddings, or ice creams as desserts. If possible, set a puppet show, a magic show, or a story telling session for them. Arrange a few games, gift exchange sessions, or other activities, such as drawing, coloring, poem recitation, etc.

Party Ideas for Adults
Garden parties for adults are incomplete without wine and dine! Make small invitation cards and send them to all your friends. Arrange together four to five tables in any pattern in your garden.
Set every table with a small vase holding flowers from your own garden. Light candles on the tables and all over the garden area. If you have some more lawn area which might be enough to convert it into a dance floor for the party, keep a music player with cool songs and put on your dancing shoes.
You can have barbeque menu and lots of beer to go with. This might be a perfect menu for a garden party. Arrange a band or perform something on your own and impress your guests.

Winter Party

Winters are nothing without warm fuzzy sweaters and blankets, a peg of whiskey, steamy food, and conversations! Set up huts in your garden or a huge tent if you have a large garden area. Invite all your single friends over, or all couples.
Set up a cozy area, with lots of mushy pillows, blankets, and mattresses to cuddle and sleep. You can also set up a barbeque or a grill. Keep options for beverages, like hot cocoa, hot tea, hot coffee, etc.
If you have a basketball ring, you can also arrange a basketball match or any other sport to keep you warm in the cold. Sometimes being childish is fun, so have a competition of 'who makes the best snowman' out of the fresh snow or even a face painting competition.

Evening Party

Evening parties are awesome! Especially when there is still twilight and all your friends have come over for the party having the perfect music, well-timed jokes, and conversations. For an evening party, you can cook food by yourself or with the help of your friends.
Decide your menu and distribute the jobs. Prepare desserts and salads, and arrange them on tables. For decorations, hang lanterns with candles and place a bed sheet on the lawn for dinner.
Make a mini bar-like table with booze of your choice. You can also set up some party themes or dress codes. Light up the garden with small lanterns or floating candles.
